Engagement of Professional Writer to document SDG success stories in 3 States, India

Background:

In May 2022, India and Germany launched the Indo-German Partnership for Green and Sustainable Development (GSDP) to accelerate progress on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. The GSDP Support Project, implemented by GIZ, focuses on climate policy, localising SDGs, and supporting political partners. Under this initiative, GIZ India and NITI Aayog are collaborating in three states: Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Madhya Pradesh to strengthen to strengthen strategies for localising the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting coherence and convergence between monitoring, planning, and budgeting. India has made significant progress in localising the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through state-level initiatives and community-led development. The primary objective of this assignment is to document success stories of SDG localisation across three states of India in a compelling, evidence-based, and reader-friendly manner. The stories will highlight results achieved, lessons learned, and the human impact of interventions, while aligning with the national and international SDG reporting frameworks

Objective:
The primary objective of this assignment is to document success stories of SDG localisation across three states of India by interviewing relevant stakeholders for SDG localisation in these states and creating impact stories for use across various communication products..

Tasks of the assignment:

• Stakeholder Interviews & Planning – Meet with project team, design questionnaires and story formats, prepare travel plans, and conduct stakeholder interviews across Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Meghalaya.
• Field Coordination – Travel to identified sites, coordinate with production team, and ensure smooth execution of interviews and story collection in parallel with multimedia documentation.
• Story Development – Develop 36 written success stories based on interviews, including technical details, consent documentation, and state-level SDG localisation summaries.
  
  This tender is for individual consultants, participation from firms shall not be considered.
