MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA HIMC) is a national-level institute with over 30 years of experience in strengthening public health, education, adolescent development, and socio-behavioural interventions. The organization works across India with governments, academic institutions, civil society, and technical partners to improve learning outcomes, health equity, and youth empowerment.

Project Background
To strengthen 21st-century learning and STEM competencies among students in government schools, MAMTA HIMC is implementing a large-scale STEM education initiative across 490 government schools of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. While STEM labs and infrastructure have improved, there is a significant capacity gap among teachers and SMC members regarding the understanding and application of STEM teaching-learning methods, activity-based learning, digital tools, inquiry-driven problem solving, and effective use of STEM labs.

To address this critical need, MAMTA HIMC invites proposals from technically sound and experienced agencies to conduct structured training sessions for teachers (4 per school, total 1,960 teachers) and SMC members across the 490 schools, focusing on STEM education and pedagogy. 

Purpose of the Assignment
To select and engage a competent agency to design, plan, and deliver high-quality teacher and SMC training modules on STEM Education, STEM Pedagogy, Activity-Based Learning, Lab Integration, and Digital STEM Tools across 490 schools of Noida. 

Objectives

• Enhance teachers’ understanding of STEM concepts and hands-on pedagogy.
• Train teachers in inquiry-based learning, experimentation, problem-solving, digital STEM applications, and STEM lab utilization.
• Build SMC capacity to promote school-level STEM initiatives and support resource utilization.
• Strengthen the use of existing STEM equipment and labs in schools.
• Facilitate a sustainable ecosystem of innovation and scientific thinking in schools.
