Job Description
1. POSITION VACANT: Team Lead – Scholarships, CSR Foundation, Mumbai
2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a leading Indian CSR organization driving inclusive development through impactful programs in health, education, rural upliftment, and more, in collaboration with public, private, and community partners.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Foundation’s Scholarship Programme supports meritorious and underprivileged students, particularly in underrepresented communities, to pursue higher education. The programme is a strategic component of the Foundation’s education initiatives, aiming to enhance access, equity, and inclusion in the academic landscape.
The Team Lead – Scholarships (TLS) will oversee the end-to-end strategy, operations, and impact of the Scholarship Programme. S/he will be responsible for managing application processes, candidate evaluation, partnerships with educational institutions, and scholar engagement, including alumni.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Oversee and develop the Scholarship Programme strategy and operations;
(2) Oversee Scholarship applications process;
(3) Oversee candidate document verification process;
(4) Lead evaluations, interviews, and selection processes;
(5) Lead relationship management with partner institutes and interviewers, including yearly strategy and development, on-boarding and training as needed;
(6) Oversee program branding and marketing working in collaboration with the Foundation’s communications team;
(7) Oversee direct and indirect outreach activities during the application process;
(8) Oversee Scholar monitoring and evaluation strategy and operations;
(9) Ensure Scholar fund disbursement process runs smoothly;
(10) Lead Scholar and alumni engagement strategy.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification:
Post Graduate Degree in any of the fields related to the development sector.
Experience:
(1) Minimum 15 years of social sector experience;
(2) Experience of implementing large scale development projects;
(3) Thorough knowledge of the social sector and specialist expertise in one or more areas.
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Strong programme design, implementation, and management capabilities;
(2) Proven ability to manage and mentor teams;
(3) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
(4) Ability to build and sustain stakeholder relationships at multiple levels;
(5) Result-oriented mindset with ability to work under tight deadlines;
(6) High proficiency in English; knowledge of Hindi or regional languages is an added advantage;
(7) Technologically adept with good working knowledge of MS Office and scholarship management platforms.
5. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
