Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Senior Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization (INPO), Remote.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Consultant - Telehealth to provide strategic and technical leadership for its growing portfolio of telemedicine and digital health programs. The role involves shaping Jhpiego’s telehealth vision, supporting global and India country-level initiatives, and leading the design and implementation of scalable, sustainable, and high-quality telehealth interventions aligned with public health system needs, S/he will be responsible for the following work;
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Thought Leadership & Ecosystem Development;
(a) Serve as a global thought leader shaping Jhpiego’s telehealth strategy and innovation Roadmap;
(b) Facilitate strategic workshops and global consultations to identify telemedicine needs across countries;
(c) Represent Jhpiego in national, regional, and global telehealth and digital health forums;
(d) Drive cross-country learning, research collaborations, and knowledge exchange;
(2) Strategy & New Program Development (NPD);
(a) Lead integration of telehealth approaches in new business development proposals;
(b) Identify telehealth-related funding trends and opportunities across multilateral and bilateral donors;
(c) Provide technical inputs for concept notes, proposals, and investment cases;
(d) Ensure telehealth components are designed for feasibility, scalability, and health impact;
(3) Technical Advisory & Knowledge Products;
(a) Guide the development of clinical SOPs, telemedicine workflows, guidelines, and policy frameworks;
(b) Ensure alignment with WHO guidelines and national digital health strategies;
(c) Lead development of global and India-specific telehealth implementation toolkits, training materials, and digital job aids;
(d) Ensure mechanisms for remote care quality assurance and patient safety;
(e) Develop technical workflow for use cases to integrate eSanjeevani with other programs;
(f) Support in documentation of project reports, best practices and case studies etc;
(4) Implementation Oversight & Support;
(a) Provide advisory and troubleshooting support to state/national telemedicine rollouts such as eSanjeevani;
(b) Oversee M&E framework design for telehealth programs including indicators, data use, and analytics;
(c) Provide senior-level technical input during field visits, pilot testing, and review meetings with stakeholders;
(d) Collaborate with ministries of health, tech vendors, and implementing partners to optimize digital platforms;
(e) Provide regular analytics for the State teams for operational support for decision-making;
(f) Support in designing SoPs, Job aids, analytics for quality tracking, dashboard etc;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience:
(1) Applicants must be MBBS (mandatory); additional master’s degree in public health, Digital Health, Health Informatics, or related field preferred;
(2) At least 12+ years of experience in digital health, with at least 5 years in telehealth leadership roles;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Demonstrated experience with health system strengthening and digital interventions at national or global levels;
(2) Prior experience in proposal development and donor engagement;
(3) Strong attention to detail to ensure that all project tasks are completed accurately and efficiently;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The monthly consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 304,000/- and overall CTC for 5 months is INR 14,74,400/-

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of five months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
