Job Description

1. POSITION VACANT: Partnership Account Manager (Financial Institutions), Dhaka , Bangladesh), Water.org.

2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Water.org, is a global non-profit headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, working to bring water and sanitation to the world. Co-founded by Gary White and Matt Damon in 2009, Water.org helps remove the barriers between people living in poverty and access to the safe water and sanitation solutions they need to survive and thrive. The organisation has changed 73 million lives with safe water or sanitation and transformed thousands of communities in Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. Today 2.2 billion people lack access to safe water and 3.5 billion people lack access to a safe toilet. Water.org serves these people.

Since 2004, Water.org has partnered with leading microfinance institutions in Bangladesh—including ASA, BURO Bangladesh, and TMSS—to empower over 10.5 million people with access to safe water and sanitation through small, affordable loans. To date, more than 2.2 million loans have been disbursed, mobilizing over $770 million in capital. This success has strengthened national recognition of water and sanitation financing, contributing to a 30% increase in government funding since 2019. Water.org also engages with key stakeholders—including the Ministry of Planning, UNICEF, Swisscontact, and InM—to share best practices and advance sector-wide learning and systems change.
