Our client is a highly regarded international foundation.

 

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Our client is seeking a purpose-driven Lead - People, Culture & Operations (working title) for its New Delhi Office, who shall collaborate closely with the Operations Director and ensure the seamless and efficient execution of key functions such as people and culture, finance, business continuity, process documentation and partner engagement, all of which play a vital role in advancing the organization's impact in the field.

 

The position requires an agile HR professional with a strong process orientation, ability to independently engage with partners and support cross-functional teams. Our client values team members who are proactive, eager to explore new challenges and consistent problem solvers.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

A. People and Culture:

(1) Support the Operations Director with key initiatives to enrich the office culture that demonstrates the organization’s values, engaging with external experts and coaches as required.

(2) Assist the Operations Director in managing effective recruitment strategies, performance alignment processes, and staff benefits in consultation with internal stakeholders.

(3) Maintain and manage all key staff benefits, policies, records and relationships with external benefit partners (health, insurance, professional development, etc.), and assist with employee engagement activities.

 

B. Business Continuity and Risk Management:

(1) Prepare and deploy the business continuity strategy including key processes to preserve institutional memory, transition processes for unanticipated and planned exits and onboarding of new colleagues to ensure smooth transitions.

(2) Support the Operations Director in developing and implementing operational resilience strategies to ensure continuity in the face of disruptions.
(3) Maintain necessary records and documentation related to risk management.

 

C. Finance and Compliances:

(1) Support the Operations Director with payroll, budgets, and local compliance.
(2) Support the Operations Director in key strategic initiatives including grant governance, regulatory compliance, partnership management, etc.

 

D. Operations Support:

(1) Support all grantee convenings, events, staff engagements (including venues, logistics, overall experience) in consultation with the Regional Director/ Operations Director and Program Officers.

(2) Maintain files, managing vendor relationships, preparing travel reports, coordinating with vendors, providing administrative support, etc.

(3) Coordinate with vendors, resolve technical issues, and maintain IT equipment records.

(4) Maintain and update the contact management system for the office; staying informed about Foundation activities.

(5) Manage activities, projects, filing, and travel arrangements for the Operations Director.

 

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicants must have a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field or relevant and equivalent experience;
(2) Eight to 10 years of relevant experience with emphasis on HR Operations with foundations, non-profit organizations or the private sector.

 

Skills and Competencies:
(1) Strong process orientation, with the ability to navigate uncertainty;
(2) Capacity to work with diverse colleagues and partners;
(3) Ability to work in a high-volume work environment, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy;
(4) Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Google Docs, with excellent interpersonal abilities.

 

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

 

The gross compensation budgeted for the position ranges from Rs. 16-18 lacs per annum. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience and salary history.
