Job Description
1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Patna, Bihar.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Public Health Consultant under Mission Unnayan Project based at Patna, Bihar who will provide technical guidance and support for designing, implementing, and monitoring blended learning approaches under Mission Unnayan. She/he will be responsible for the following tasks:
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Collaborate with nursing college leadership and faculty to develop a college-specific implementation plan for Ekshamata and blended learning;
(2) Coordinate orientation meetings and planning sessions with key stakeholders (faculty, mentors, principal, BNRC);
(3) Facilitate orientation sessions for faculty and students and inservice nurses on the use of the Ekshamata platform and blended learning methodology;
(4) Support the development of a Facilitator Guide that aligns Ekshamata content with curriculum-based competencies;
(5) Ensure teaching materials include session plans, learning outcomes, discussion questions, reflection activities, and OSCE readiness components;
(6) Support integration of Ekshamata modules into teaching, facilitate blended sessions, and ensure student engagement through regular follow-up;
(7) Track student engagement, module completion, and assessment performance using the Ekshamata dashboard and field-level observations;
(8) Provide on-site mentoring and technical support to faculty and students for effective platorm usage and academic improvement;
(9) Document session plans, orientation reports, implementation progress, and best practices;
(10) Submit regular progress updates and a final implementation report highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for scale-up;
(11) Perform other activities, as assigned by the supervisor to achieve organizational goals;
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicant must have Candidate must be a graduate with an essential Master’s in Public Health (MPH), Diploma in Public Health (DPH) or Post graduation in Health Management;
(2) At least 2-5 years of experience of working with public health programs especially in Reproductive and Child Health and managing program implementation is desirable. Specific experience in large programs related to quality of care/antenatal care/maternal & newborn health will be preferred;
(3) Experience in blended learning or digital education preferred;
(4) Strong skills in facilitation, documentation, and digital tool usage;
(5) Proficient in Hindi and English;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Good Communication (verbal & written in local language and English);
(2) Computer Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc);
(3) Good interpersonal skills;
(4) Atentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude;
(5) Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities;
(6) Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information;
(7) Good documentation skills;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The overall consultancy fee budgeted for the assignment, for a period of six month, is INR 300,000/-.

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant for a total duration of six months. The consultancy assignment shall be full-time, with an initial engagement period of one month through SAMS, acting as a third-party payrolling agency. This engagement shall be extended for an additional five months, either with SAMS or another designated agency.
The contract may be further extended beyond six months, subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements. It is expressly clarified that this consultancy arrangement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment with SAMS, the client, or any other organization associated with the project.
