3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CEO will provide strategic leadership to drive business growth, operational excellence, and profitability. The successful candidate will oversee an operation with a turnover of INR 40 Crores and lead a team of skilled professionals across various departments.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
(A) Strategic Leadership and Business Development
(1) Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
(2) Identify and pursue new export markets and commercial opportunities within the garment/apparel industry.
(3) Build and maintain relationships with key international clients, vendors, and strategic partners.
(B) Operational Management:
(1) Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
(2) Implement industry best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production and operations.
(3) Drive vendor development and optimize procurement processes, ensuring high standards of quality and cost efficiency.
(C) Financial Management:
(1) Direct financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to sustain the business’s financial health.
(2) Monitor financial performance and implement profitability strategies, ensuring tight cost control and regulatory compliance.
(3) Ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting requirements with transparency and precision.
(D) Team Leadership:
(1) Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
(2) Champion training initiatives, people relations, and teamwork to enhance employee engagement and performance.
(3) Cultivate a culture of integrity, honesty, and social responsibility within the organization.
(E) Quality and Compliance:
(1) Ensure adherence to international quality standards and certification requirements.
(2) Maintain compliance with export regulations and industry-specific requirements.
(3) Drive continuous product and process innovation without compromising quality.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification and Experience:
(1) Educational Background:
(a) Graduate: A degree in commerce or another relevant stream.
(b) Postgraduate/Professional: An MBA or any equivalent professional/business qualification such as CA or comparable credential.
(c) Specialized Training: A diploma or certificate in Apparel, Garments, or Export Trade will be considered an advantage.
(2) Experience:
(a) Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in the garment/apparel industry or related commercial sectors, including leadership roles (number one or two positions) in a mid-sized operation based in the NCR/Delhi region.
(b) Proven track record of successfully managing export-oriented garment manufacturing operations with a focus on driving growth and profitability.
(3) Essential Skills and Competencies:
(a) Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of international garment/apparel markets, with a particular focus on export operations and vendor development.
(b) General Management: Demonstrated experience in managing people, finance, quality, procurement, marketing, and sales
(c) Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities with proven skills in mentoring and talent development.
(d) Commercial Acumen: Strategic thinking and strong negotiation abilities with a clear focus on business growth and operational profitability.
(e) Interpersonal Skills: Expertise in training, people relations, and facilitating teamwork.
(f) Ethical Standards: High integrity, honesty, and a demonstrated concern for societal issues.
