Job Description
Key Responsibilities
The duties of a hospital administrator are broad and demanding, encompassing a variety of critical functions:
- Operational Management:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of all hospital departments (clinical, administrative, and support services).
- Implementing and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and patient care.
- Ensuring the hospital's physical infrastructure, equipment, and technology are well maintained and up to date.
- Managing patient flow, bed assignments, and wait times.
- Financial Management:
- Developing, managing, and monitoring the hospital's budget.
- Analyzing financial data to ensure fiscal health and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Human Resources (HR) Management:
- Recruiting, hiring, and training administrative and medical staff.
- Managing employee relations, work schedules, and performance evaluations.
- Fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations are adhered.
- Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Developing and implementing long-term strategic goals for the hospital.
- Representing the hospital to the public, regulatory bodies, and community members.
- Leading initiatives for quality improvement and patient safety.
- Adapting to changes in healthcare technology, regulations, and patient needs.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensuring the hospital adheres to all local, state, and federal healthcare laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Developing and enforcing policies and procedures to maintain patient safety and ethical standards.
- Managing risks protecting the institution from legal and financial issues.
· Deliverables & Accountability
We expect that under your leadership:
o In depth understanding of the hospital operations and administration.
o Daily supervision of the hospital activities.
o Regular meetings and discussions with the Heads of the medical and non-medical departments to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the quality eye care.
o Excellent communication skills to deal with the external visitors, government bodies and NGOs to represent the organization.
o Regular reporting of all the major events and incidents to the management.
