1. POSITIONS VACANT: Consultant-Manyata, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Patna, Bihar.
2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Consultant for Manyata will work closely with healthcare facilities, Centers for Skill Enhancement (CSEs), other stakeholders, and the State Office team to achieve the program's desired outcomes. S/he shall be responsible for the following:
Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Program Implementation: Support the Manyata 5.0 initiative, ensuring timely execution of program activities in alignment with project goals. Coordinate the certification and recertification process for healthcare facilities;
(2) Technical Assistance: Provide technical guidance to health facilities and district-level stakeholders, helping them integrate Manyata standards and adopt quality improvement (QI) practices for maternal and newborn care;
(3) Training and Capacity Building: Organize and coordinate training sessions for healthcare providers and CSEs. Facilitate workshops, both virtual and in-person, on clinical standards, quality assurance (QA), and technical protocols;
(4) Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the point of contact between FOGSI, NABH, CSEs, and local healthcare providers to ensure smooth program operations. Maintain strong relationships with district and state health authorities and other key partners;
(5) Data Collection and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely collection, collation, and analysis of program data, including tracking the certification status of facilities. Prepare regular progress reports to document achievements and challenges;
(6) Technology Support: Assist in the implementation and supervision of digital health solutions and technology platforms used in the Manyata program, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting any issues that arise;
(7) Monitoring and Evaluation: Support the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts by assisting in the development of indicators, tracking program outcomes, and contributing to the documentation of lessons learned for continuous quality improvement;
(8) Travel: Travel extensively to district-level health facilities, centers of skill enhancement, and project sites for on-ground monitoring, capacity building, and coordination of activities
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications and Experience
(1) Applicant must have Graduate qualification in any stream. A postgraduate degree or diploma in public health or health management is preferred;
(2) At least 3-5 years of experience working in public or private health programs, with a focus on maternal and newborn health, reproductive health, and quality of care;
Skills and Competencies:
(1) Familiarity with India’s / Bihar health system, key stakeholders, and relevant government strategies, particularly the National Health Mission (NHM);
(2) Strong experience working with government maternal and child health programs;
(3) Ability to liaise and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including healthcare facilities, government bodies, and private sector partners;
(4) Strong communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and oral;
(5) Proven ability to organize and conduct training sessions, workshops, and meetings;
(6) Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with digital health platforms;
(7) Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines;
(8) Flexibility and willingness to take on diverse responsibilities and challenges;
(9) Ability to travel extensively (50–60% of the time) across assigned geographies;
5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The monthly consultancy fee budgeted for the position is INR 50,000/-, CTC for 6 months INR 300,000/- (consultancy +M&IE +Stay+ travel).

8. NATURE OF CONTRACT:
The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS, a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of six months. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS, or our client, or any other organization associated with the project.
